roda Licht- und Lufttechnik GmbH has been in existence since 1986 and since then has had the goal of ensuring well-being and safety in buildings. Our philosophy is to process excellent materials in the best possible way in order to generate unsurpassed advantages for you. roda is a VdS-approved manufacturer and constructor of:
- Natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation units (NSHEV)
- Industrial ventilation systems
- Skylight systems
- Translucent façade technology
Our smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems (SHEV), industrial ventilation systems, skylight systems and translucent façade technology combine daylight illumination, fresh air supply and fire and smoke protection in buildings.
Roda systems impress through their durability and daily added value. This is because they are all designed so that they can be used for multiple daily ventilation while offering full ventilation thanks to their 90° opening angle. This means that the entire aerodynamic ventilation surface is available to you in the ventilation position and we also offer natural solutions with our multi-purpose ventilators when it rains.

As a VdS-certified installation company, we provide reliable, manufacturer-independent maintenance. Lufthansa Technik AG
Aircraft, which are the most important asset of all airlines, are designed to complete between 30,000 and 110,000 flights, according to the manufacturer, which corresponds to an operating life of well over 20 years. This service life is achieved through appropriate quality and regular maintenance of the aircraft, as carried out at Lufthansa Technik AG. Hamburg is home to one of the company's more than 50 locations worldwide that offer MRO services (maintenance, repair and overhaul) for aircraft.
The overhaul hangar 461 proves that in roda Licht- und Lufttechnik GmbH a partner has been found who delivers the kind of quality that Lufthansa Technik AG knows and appreciates from its aircraft. On the 45 m high and 13,000 m² large hall, the roda-supplied continuous rooflights and ventilation systems with SHEV function are still fully functional after 25 years. Only the infill made of polycarbonate multi-wall panels had been so damaged by the odd hailstorm over the years that renovation was necessary. After assessing the actual condition of the systems, it was concluded that their functionality would continue and only the PC multi-wall panels needed to be replaced. A suitable construction of roda systems makes this possible.
