NATURAL VENTILATION AND SMOKE AND HEAT EXTRACTION COMBINED
The SMOKEJET is a louvre fan that can be used as a natural ventilation unit in addition to its function as a SHEV system. It utilises the advantages of a smoke and heat extraction device and also ensures natural air exchange and daylight in buildings.
To do this, the SMOKEJET ventilation and natural smoke extraction unit uses the thermal buoyancy in the building depending on the pressure and temperature difference for natural ventilation or natural smoke extraction in case of fire. Weather-independent daily ventilation is provided by an automatic rain sensor. In case of fire, SMOKEJET opens automatically via a thermal release device (TAG) or the fire alarm system.

Fire protection – for your safety
Whether in the industrial sector or in office buildings - nowadays, the majority of materials used release toxic gases during combustion.
The SMOKEJET louvre fan is equipped with an automatic thermal release mechanism. When the trigger temperature is reached in case of fire, the device opens independently of all other functions. The roda SMOKEJET works with both smoke detector impulse and central fire alarm system.
Natural ventilation without energy loss
Especially in the summer months, industrial production halls often suffer production losses due to heat build-up and stale, poor quality air. The SMOKEJET louvre fan provides free and silent ventilation without additional energy consumption. The higher the internal heat load, the more effective the ventilation effect. The natural ventilation of the SMOKEJET regulates itself via the prevailing temperature difference - without any additional control.
Natural daylight illumination
The transparent slats of the SMOKEJET louvre fan allow natural daylight to enter the building even when closed. This saves on lighting costs on the one hand and has a positive effect on employee motivation on the other. SMOKEJET thus supports the amortisation of the system by actively saving energy.
SMOKEJET as a wall SHEV or as a supply air louvre
The roda SMOKEJET offers a wide range of installation options in the roof, but can also provide the required supply air in any wall construction. As no or only insufficient overall ventilation can be guaranteed without supply air, the use of supply air systems is of great importance. Whether in case of ventilation or in case of fire, the supply of fresh air in the lower part of the building is most effective. In an emergency, the SMOKEJET louvre fan supports the extraction of dangerous fire gases with the supply air flowing in and contributes to the formation of a low-smoke layer of air close to the floor. In addition, the materials in the vicinity of the source of the fire are cooled at the same time.
The SMOKEJET louvre fan is used in industrial, commercial and municipal buildings.
Depending on the design, the SMOKEJET meets the requirements of DIN EN 12101-2 and VdS 2159. The EC Declaration of Conformity is supplied with the product.

Smokejet
Designs
The SMOKEJET consists of an aluminium frame construction made of AlMg3 alloy and a number of pivoting, aerodynamically shaped slats corresponding to the size. You can choose between aluminium, glass and PC for the slat infill. The slats are opened and closed using an internal pneumatic cylinder or actuator. The slat pivot points are made of aluminium and mounted in UV-resistant nylon bushes. Sealing brushes or EPDM seals minimise the discharge of warm air.

1 - SMOKEJET louvre fan
2 - A rain sensor can be used to provide weather-protected ventilation. The slats close automatically when moisture is detected.

SIZE
The units can be manufactured in all length dimensions and defined width dimensions from 576x705 mm to 1926x2966 mm. The unit width is calculated from the frame width (40 mm) and the width of the individual slats (133 mm). (Unit width = number of slats x 133 mm + 40 mm)
